A tinted lithographed on wove paper, published by John Raphael Isaac in London circa 1856.

Built in 1856, the Ocean Monarch was at the time the largest sailing ship yet constructed at a New York shipyard. On March 9th 1862 she was thrown on her beam ends in a gale and abandoned. A week later twenty two survivors were picked up by the schooner Oliver H. Booth.
