Watercolour on paper. An original artwork from the 1950s to promote the Royal Enfield racing bicycle. The Royal Enfield brand ceased to operate in England in the early 1970s but until then it was famous for producing excellent motorbikes and bicycles that were exported all around the world. The first motorbike was produced in Worcestershire in 1901 and this evocative poster dates from the 1950s; the hey day of British cycling.

Although unattributed these prints are almost certainly engraved by Thomas Burford (1710-1774) after the paintings by James Seymour.

A set of six aquatints in original colour, engraved by Harris, Hunt and Papprill after the paintings by Charles Henderson (1803-1877) and published in London 1842. Charles Henderson had a predilection for coaching scenes and these six are perhaps his best loved images. He exhibited at The Royal Academy twice and spent most of his working life in London.
